I visited the new chippery as i had seen it on my gluten free app and it definitely did not disappoint. Right from the get go the staff were so lovely and helpful, assuring me they had seperate fryers for gluten free stuff and even GF gravy and vinegar. Even for those not gluten free, chips were lovely and the fish was so nice it was falling apart. Prices were incredibly reasonable and the lady who served us was lovely. 1000% i will be coming back

This is a top place for quality fish & chips - whether you have them with peas, curry, gravy, beans or whatever is on offer you won't be disappointed - I've called in here today and really, really enjoyed the offering I had Regular fish (just right size), chips, mushy peas, 1 slice of buttered bread and choice of tea, coffee or can of pop for £11.50 - top quality for the price well done "The New Chippery" - until next time....... Get yourself down here to sample the goods ;-)

As of 15/11/2024 (Lunch) Taste:6⃣ Environment:5⃣ Seating:5⃣ Service:5⃣ Portion size:6⃣ Value for money:6⃣ *on a scale of ten Overall Score:55 / 100 Average cost per person:£7.5 (including Coffee) I tried a very local Fish and Chips shop where most of the customers were locals. In these kinds of small shops, ketchup or salad dressing usually costs extra, while locals typically season their food with salt and vinegar instead. Small Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas

Popped in for something to eat before catching a train, it was nice to get crispy chips from a chip shop and enjoyed the food. Friendly staff and good service. Only thing was there brown sauce isn't to my taste but this could be personal choice.

What a brilliant chippy. They offer all the usual foods that a chippy does but they also have a vegan menu and a gluten free menu. The vegan menu has some delicious options such as: vegan chicken nuggets, vegan battered sausage and chips, peas and vegan gravy. They even have vegan butter and plant milk. They did used to offer pies but I didn't see these as an option when I visited this time. I really recommend this place, especially to vegans and those trying to cut down on their consumption of meat and animal products. Such lovely, friendly and helpful staff too. We felt so welcomed and so looked after. It was a joy to visit here. Definitely worth the money and we will definitely be back and will let our friends and family know that they need to visit this brilliant chip shop.
